St Andrews MARKET DAY

What a fun and exciting day we had at our annual Market Day, June 2024.  Most of all, thank you to our Taupō Community for getting behind us and supporting us!

Lenten Studies

For the past few weeks The Rev'd Robert Kereopa has lead a group in Gisple centred discipleship Lenten Studies.  Here is a photo of the group hard at work.

The Rev'd Robert Kereopa, The Rev'd Keith Fischer, The Rev'd Jacqui Leyden and the Rev'd Canon Howard Leigh.  The Rev'd Jacqui Leyden!

Ordination Day 28 November 2020

St Andrew's own Keith Fischer was ordained as a deacon at the cathedral in Napier on Saturday the 28th of November.  Many parishioners went over the Napier to support Keith and celebrate with him.  We are so blessed to have The Rev'd Keith Fischer in Taupo!

Mainly Music

Mainly Music has resumed at St Andrews Hall on a Thursday morning starting at 9.30am.  It does not run during school holidays.  Marilyn Collins-Dawson is in charge alongside helpers from the church.  It is well attended.

Kai Taima Food Mission

The name Taima is reference to Taima Ricketts who donated the land the church stands on.  Her husband was a pioneer in this area in the early part of last century.  We have been fortunate to be able to provide breakfast for our community on a Wednesday and Friday starting at 8.30am.  This started in 2024.

Flowers Family Window

At the beginning of June the Flowers Family Window was installed in the church.  This window has been many years in the planning and it was wonderful to finally see it completed.  It was commissioned by Malcolm Flowers.

Ironman 2024!

On the first Saturday of March the St Andrew's volunteer team got out onto Broadlands Road to cheer on and provide food, drink and medical assistance to those on the huge 180km bike ride leg of the race.  Much fun was had and I'm sure the participants were very glad to see those smiling faces as they rounded the bend!

On January the 18th we had the Tauranga Chinese Methodist Church come and host a meeting for Chinese people living in Taupo.  The event was a great success and they all had a wonderful time.  We hope this will be a regular event!
