ALPHA COURSE

This course will commence on Wednesday 25th September 2024 in our church lounge from 6pm with a meal.  It will be facilitated by Reverend Keith Fischer.  Alpha is an 11 week course that creates a space, in person, where people are excited to bring their friends for a conversation about life, faith and Jesus.    We are looking for helpers to support the people who attend.

Congratulations to the Rev'd Robert Kereopa, who has been appointed the Vicar General of the Waiapu Diocese.  This announcement was made by Bishop Andrew Hedge.  Rev'd Robert Kereopa replaces Rev'd Jenny Chalmers.

Mainly Music

Mainly Music has resumed at St Andrews Hall on a Thursday morning starting at 9.30am.  It does not run during school holidays.  Marilyn Collins-Dawson is in charge alongside helpers from the church.  It is well attended.

Kai Taima Food Mission

The name Taima is reference to Taima Ricketts who donated the land the church stands on.  Her husband was a pioneer in this area in the early part of last century.  We have been fortunate to be able to provide breakfast for our community on a Wednesday and Friday starting at 8.30am.  This started in 2024.

Flowers Family Window

At the beginning of June the Flowers Family Window was installed in the church.  This window has been many years in the planning and it was wonderful to finally see it completed.  It was commissioned by Malcolm Flowers.

Ironman 2024!

The World Ironman will be held in Taupo 14 and 15 December.  Will update further as new information comes to hand.

On January the 18th we had the Tauranga Chinese Methodist Church come and host a meeting for Chinese people living in Taupo.  The event was a great success and they all had a wonderful time.  We hope this will be a regular event!
