St Andrew's is a beautiful place of worship, but the Church has even more to offer: Its warmth, beautiful acoustics, and ambiance mean the building is frequently used as a concert venue. It is also the regular meeting place for many community groups both from within the church and from the Taupō community.
A church is a vital part of any community; it can be a spiritual heart and a place of both comfort and celebration. Through its parish priest and vestry, St Andrew's provides all these things and cares for people during times of grief, growth and happiness - St Andrew's touches people way beyond the local congregation.
The parish is the central North Island segment of the Anglican Diocese of Waiapū, based in Napier, and has as its leader the Right Reverend Andrew Hedge.
