Mainly Music

Mainly Music has resumed at St Andrews Hall on a Thursday morning starting at 9.30am.  It does not run during school holidays.  Marilyn Collins-Dawson is in charge alongside helpers from the church.  It is well attended.

Kai Taima Food Mission

The name Taima is reference to Taima Ricketts who donated the land the church stands on.  Her husband was a pioneer in this area in the early part of last century.  We have been fortunate to be able to provide breakfast for our community on a Wednesday and Friday starting at 7.45am.  This started in 2024.

Story Window

The Story Window is in memory of Joseph Edward Story OBE, JP, a Serving Brother of the Order of St John, and his wife Olive Rapare Story.

Mrs Story was a former Mayor of Taupo.  Mrs Story was a daughter of Josef Rickit, a pioneer settler of the district, who donated the land on which the church is built.

The small squares and the two lozenges at the top of the window contain small pictures of pioneer times and various emblems.  The window is located at the front right of the nave.

Ironman 2024!

The World Ironman will be held in Taupo 14 and 15 December.  Will update further as new information comes to hand.

On January the 18th we had the Tauranga Chinese Methodist Church come and host a meeting for Chinese people living in Taupo.  The event was a great success and they all had a wonderful time.  We hope this will be a regular event!
