For the past few weeks The Rev'd Robert Kereopa has lead a group in Gisple centred discipleship Lenten Studies. Here is a photo of the group hard at work.
Another Ordination!
On the 28th of February 2021 The Rev'd Jacqui Leyden was ordained as a priest. The service at St Matthew's Oruanui was well attended and everyone enjoyed a lunch together afterwards. The above photo shows the clergy attending and to the right is The Rev'd Keith Fischer, Jacqui and The Rev'd Jenny Chalmers, Bishop Bruce Moore and The Rev'd Canon Howard Leigh. Ordination Day 28 November 2020
St Andrew's own Keith Fischer was ordained as a deacon at the cathedral in Napier on Saturday the 28th of November. Many parishioners went over the Napier to support Keith and celebrate with him. We are so blessed to have The Rev'd Keith Fischer in Taupo!
Shine TV Live at St Andrew's!
On the 30th of July Shine TV came to St Andrew's as part of their "Shineathon" They brought dinner and created a party atmosphere. There were a few moments of us being on live TV which was very exciting. We are so grateful to Shine TV for including us.
Flowers Family Window
At the beginning of June the Flowers Family Window was installed in the church. This window has been many years in the planning and it was wonderful to finally see it completed. It was commissioned by Malcolm Flowers.
Ironman 2020!
On the 7th of March the St Andrew's volunteer team got out onto Broadlands Road to cheer on and provide food, drink and medical assistance to those on the huge 180km bike ride leg of the race. Much fun was had and I'm sure the participants were very glad to see those smiling faces as they rounded the bend!
On January the 18th we had the Tauranga Chinese Methodist Church come and host a meeting for Chinese people living in Taupo. The event was a great success and they all had a wonderful time. We hope this will be a regular event!
